Pain and Suffering

Unsatisfied red dweller of the imaginary of books,
Scrawny and fragile
What who yearned to learn:
What dreams do you have?
Hopeless?
Listen,
In a distant farmland,
An immobile CLAY wheelchair moved
(or Did I lie?)

I drew a picture of him, scrawny and with kyphoscoliosis, sitting on a wheelchair. He was surrounded by the image of the sea, the sky and the universe, as nature is full of wonders that would leave any inquisitive person in awe. He reminded me of a moth, which I drew flying towards the moon (the source of light), just like him being hungry for knowledge despite that he might not live long. There was not much pessimistic tone in the picture, except perhaps the monochromic portrayal of Tian and the thunderstorm above the sea, which hinted the obstacles he had to face if he had to “accomplish a dream”.
